Thirteen Naxalites were apprehended in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh, authorities confirmed on Tuesday.

Officials detailed that seven individuals were captured from the Gangaloor police station area on Sunday, and another six were detained under the jurisdiction of the Tarrem police station on Monday. These operations involved coordinated efforts between the District Reserve Guard (DRG), Special Task Force (STF), and the 202nd battalion of CoBRA.

The detainees, all male and aged between 20 and 55 years, were found with various items, including detonators, electric wire, iron spikes, bows and arrows. More than 600 Naxalites have been arrested in Bastar division this year, which includes Bijapur.
