Amid heavy rainfall, parts of Gujarat experience worsening flood conditions. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed condolences to the families affected by the deluge. In a post on X, he urged Congress workers to assist in relief efforts and called for governmental action to mitigate the disaster's impact.
Rahul Gandhi's appeal for aid was followed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's telephonic conversation with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, assuring full support from the Central government. On social media, Patel highlighted Modi's guidance on protecting lives and livestock, emphasizing his continued monitoring of Gujarat's situation.
Heavy showers in Gujarat, including Vadodara, prompted the deployment of six Army contingents to support 14 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and 22 State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams. Earlier, CM Patel reviewed ongoing rescue efforts via video conference from the State Emergency Operation Center in Gandhinagar.
