Actor Nagarjuna Akkineni on Sunday asserted that no land was encroached upon for the construction of Hyderabad's N-Convention Centre, following its demolition by the authorities on Saturday. He emphasized that the land was legally documented and free of any encroachment.
"Dear all, fans and well-wishers, reports about celebrities can often be exaggerated and speculative for effect. I would like to reiterate that the land on which N-Convention has been built is Patta Documented land. Not even one cent of the land beyond that has been encroached upon," Nagarjuna posted on social media platform X.
Earlier on Sunday, Nagarjuna expressed his disappointment with the demolition carried out by Hyderabad Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA). He stressed that no prior notice was issued and there was a stay order in place preventing such actions. Authorities argue the land falls under the FTL zone.
