Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in the state assembly, Jairam Thakur, took part in the mass hearing event for the 113th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' at the BJP headquarters, Deepakmal Bhawan, in Chakar on Sunday.
Thakur also attended a workshop on the BJP's District Membership Campaign 2024 during the event. Addressing the gathering, he noted the popularity of the 'Mann Ki Baat' program, highlighting how PM Modi's interaction with students of IIT Madras serves as significant encouragement for the Start-Up scheme.
Discussing the BJP's membership drive, Thakur stated that Himachal Pradesh was surpassing the target of enrolling 200 members per booth, with the organization set to have 16 lakh members in the state. He also detailed the Unified Pension Scheme as beneficial for employees and criticized HP Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for unresolved employee issues.
