PM Modi Sanctions Relief for Tripura Flood Victims
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sanctioned an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the recent floods in Tripura. Injured individuals will receive Rs 50,000 each. At least 32 people died and multiple areas were severely affected.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the next of kin of individuals who lost their lives in the recent floods in Tripura, Chief Minister Manik Saha announced.
Along with the compensation for the deceased, Rs 50,000 has been sanctioned for those injured during the August 19-24 deluge. At least 32 lives were lost, two people were injured, and one person remains missing. The funds come from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.
Chief Minister Saha expressed his gratitude towards the Prime Minister on social media, highlighting the importance of this support during difficult times. An interministerial central team has assessed the damages in Tripura and assured that their report will be submitted promptly to secure further assistance.
