Union Home Minister Amit Shah declared today that left-wing extremism, considered the biggest challenge to India's democratic system, will be eradicated by March 2026. Speaking in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Shah emphasized that the Modi government is committed to this goal.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the battle against left-wing extremism is reportedly in its final phase. Shah stated that now is the opportune moment to deliver a decisive blow to LWE with a robust and uncompromising strategy.

He cited significant achievements, including a drastic reduction in left-wing violence-related deaths, which fell below 100 for the first time in four decades in 2022. Shah credited the security forces and the development initiatives for this progress. He also mentioned the launch of the 'Bastariya Battalion' and new government policies aimed at integrating youth into mainstream development.
