The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed chargesheets against two more Naxalite operatives in association with the 2018 abduction and murder case of Naresh Singh Bhokta in Bihar. This move pushes the total number of individuals charged in this case to 11.
According to the NIA, the newly charged individuals are Anil Yadav, also known as Ankush and Lavkush, from Gaya district, and Pramod Mishra, also referred to as Sohan Da and BB Ji, from Aurangabad district. Both are notorious Naxalite terrorists with various criminal cases registered in different police stations across Bihar and Jharkhand.
The investigation reveals that Mishra had overseen the plan to eliminate Bhokta over suspicions of being a police informant. Mishra, who was a Polit Bureau Member and then CCM, directed Naxalite cadres to carry out the act. Ankush, a Sub-Zonal Committee member, was a close aide and actively participated in the crime.
