On Saturday evening, doctors at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal held a candlelight march to protest the death of a female post-graduate trainee (PGT) at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. The doctors expressed deep condolences and thanked supporters for their participation.

Similarly, medical professionals at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi also demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident. Protesters carried posters and chanted slogans calling for justice. Dr. Gautam emphasized the need for immediate action to ensure women's safety on campuses. He urged the government to swiftly apprehend those responsible.

Protestors voiced their frustration over the lack of progress. Dr. Ritik Ghosh criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, arguing that similar incidents remain unresolved despite assurances. He expressed dissatisfaction with the state's efforts, calling it a shame for both the Bengal government and the country.

Congress workers in Kolkata organized a rally on Saturday to seek justice. The death of the second-year medical student has sparked major political reactions. BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul and Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari have both demanded a CBI investigation into the incident.

Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar, along with BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul, visited the residence of the deceased trainee doctor. Majumdar condemned the TMC government, comparing the incident to the Nirbhaya case and asserting that West Bengal is unsafe for women. He called for a CBI investigation, holding the government accountable.
