During a side-line meeting at the BRICS summit in Russia, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi reviewed strides made in recent consultations on boundary disputes. It was revealed that disengagement measures are a step towards stabilizing the border, which has remained tense since May 2020.

The discussions, termed as constructive, aimed at reinforcing mutual trust and understanding.
