A tragedy struck in Lakshmi Garden Colony, Delhi, when a house collapsed due to heavy rainfall, claiming the life of 52-year-old Sundri Devi and injuring her two daughters, Varsha and Lakshmi.

The house, compromised by un-cemented walls and a roof of iron girders and red stone blocks, crumbled under the weight of the rain. Assistant Commissioner of Police Bhaskar Verma reported that while the daughters were injured, the sons, Rajan, Sagar, and Preeti, escaped unscathed.

Emergency responders, aided by local residents, rescued the injured and rushed them to GTB Hospital, where Sundri Devi was declared dead. Her body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and the injured daughters are receiving medical care.
