Kerala's Elephants Relish Tripura's Queen Pineapples, Strengthening State Bonds

Union Minister Suresh Gopi thanked Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha for sending GI-tagged Queen Pineapples to Kerala for the Aanayootu ceremony. In a heartwarming gesture that signifies inter-state cooperation and mutual respect, Union Minister of State for Tourism and Petroleum, Suresh Gopi, thanked Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha for the timely delivery of GI-tagged Queen Pineapples to Kerala. These pineapples were part of the Aanayootu ceremony at Vadakkumnnatha Kshethram Temple, a traditional ritual for feeding elephants.

Expressing his gratitude on social media platform X, Gopi wrote, 'Huge thanks to PM @narendramodi Ji & Tripura CM @DrManikSaha2 for this sweet gesture! Kerala's elephants loved the GI-tagged Queen Pineapples! This is just the beginning. Let's work together to process & export these delicious fruits!' He also highlighted Tripura's significant contribution to India's pineapple production, noting that the state produces 8.5% of the national total.

In response, Chief Minister Dr. Saha expressed his delight, stating, 'It is an honour for Tripura. The visionary leadership of Hon'ble PM @narendramodi Ji has always encouraged us to step towards #EkBharatShresthaBharat. Definitely, the GI-tagged #QueenPineapples are one of the sweetest & I am sure this will create a separate fan base globally.' Union Minister Gopi also extended his thanks to Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation and MLA Dipak Majumder for their crucial roles in this initiative.
