Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai, met with residents of Srinagar living along the Line of Control on Sunday. BSF Kashmir posted on X, highlighting the Minister's emphasis on the overall development of these areas through coordinated efforts with the BSF and local administration.

Rai conducted a two-day visit to the Border Security Force FTR Head Quarter in Kashmir to assess security and operational preparedness along the LoC. He toured forward locations in the Niru-Gurez sector, engaged in discussions with field commanders and troops, and reviewed necessary infrastructure and operational equipment.

Addressing troops at a Sainik Sammelan, Rai lauded the dedication and commitment of BSF personnel and briefed them on government initiatives for capacity building and welfare for all CAPF troops. He also engaged with the civilian population of Niru village. A strategic security review meeting was convened at Frontier HQ BSF, Kashmir, focusing on enhancing intelligence, inter-agency collaboration, and community engagement.

The Minister underscored the importance of community cooperation in maintaining peace and fostering development, urging support for security efforts. He commended the bravery of BSF troops, affirming the government's commitment to bolstering their capabilities and welfare.
