BJP Unveils State-Wise Membership Campaign Heads Amid Strategic Meeting

The BJP has designated in-charges for its membership campaign across various states and Union Territories during a meeting at its Delhi headquarters. Spearheaded by national leaders, the effort will focus on rallying support ahead of the upcoming organizational elections slated for January 2025.

The BJP has appointed membership campaign in-charges for various states and Union Territories following a meeting held today at the party's headquarters in Delhi. Senior leader Vinod Tawde has been assigned Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

National General Secretary Dushyant Gautam will oversee operations in West Bengal, Sikkim, Tripura, and Odisha, and National Vice President Rekha Verma will handle the campaign in Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Ladakh, and Chandigarh.

Other key appointments include D Purandeshwari for Kerala, Puducherry, and Tamil Nadu, Arvind Menon for Andaman and Nicobar, Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep, and Telangana, Rajdeep Roy for Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Nagaland, and Vijaya Rahatkar for Chhattisgarh and Karnataka. Rituraj Sinha will lead operations in Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat, while Ghaziabad MP Atul Garg will be in charge of Uttarakhand and Bihar.

The meeting, chaired by BJP National President and Union Minister JP Nadda, is currently ongoing at the party's Delhi headquarters, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje also in attendance. Various national office-bearers, state in-charges, co-in-charges, all state BJP presidents, and organization general secretaries are participating.

The agenda includes finalizing the start date and process for the BJP's membership drive and organizational elections. Following these activities, a new national president is likely to be elected in January 2025. Incumbent President JP Nadda, whose term has ended, will continue in his role until a successor is chosen.
