Eveready has launched a unique initiative to enhance women's safety during Kolkata's Durga Puja, enlisting the voices of renowned artist Usha Uthup and actress Ritabhari Chakraborty. This campaign seeks to spread awareness and ensure a safe environment for women amidst the festivities.
The initiative, titled 'Eveready Siren - Pujoy Awaaj Tolar Power,' involves broadcasting female voices through megaphones at major Durga Puja pandals. These messages, featuring playful yet meaningful reminders, are designed to promote respect for women among pandal visitors.
As part of their ongoing efforts, Eveready has introduced a Siren Squad comprising volunteers to oversee crowd management and enhance women's safety within the pandals. This initiative coincides with the launch of the Eveready Siren Torch, a device for raising alarms during emergencies.
