Man Arrested at Kolkata GPO for Alleged Washroom Videography

A 34-year-old man was arrested at the Kolkata General Post Office for allegedly attempting to record a female employee inside a washroom. The accused, a casual GPO staffer from Ultadanga, was reportedly caught by other staff members. A case has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing.

A 34-year-old man was arrested from the Kolkata General Post Office (GPO) on Tuesday for allegedly attempting to videograph a female employee while she was in the washroom, authorities reported.

The suspect, a casual staffer of the GPO and a resident of Ultadanga, was apprehended at the scene by fellow employees.

'The incident occurred around 11:50 a.m. when the complainant was using the ladies' washroom. The accused tried to capture a video using his mobile phone through the door slit and was caught red-handed,' explained a police officer. The phone was confiscated, and a case has been registered at the Hare Street police station. An investigation is underway.
