YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is set to visit the Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple at Tirumala Hills on September 28. This visit comes as part of statewide temple rituals called by the party to atone for alleged sins committed by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu regarding Tirupati laddus.
According to party sources, Reddy will arrive at Tirumala on the night of September 27 and will stay overnight to perform prayers the following day. YSRCP has urged the public to participate in temple poojas across Andhra Pradesh on September 28 as a form of penance for Naidu's alleged actions.
The controversy began when Naidu accused the previous YSRCP government of using substandard ingredients and animal fat in the Tirupati laddus, sparking a massive nationwide debate. Reddy has called these allegations false, while the BJP state unit has demanded that Reddy declare his faith before entering the Tirumala shrine.
