Celebrities Step Up Amid Severe Floods in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

As severe flooding in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh caused widespread disruption, various high-profile personalities, including actor-politicians Nandamuri Balakrishna and Pawan Kalyan, have donated substantial sums to aid relief efforts.

Severe flooding in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has led to widespread disruption, prompting significant contributions from notable figures such as actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna. His daughter, Tejaswani, presented a Rs 50 lakh cheque to Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on his behalf.

In a related move, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan personally delivered a Rs 1 crore cheque to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at his Hyderabad residence. Kalyan announced additional donations for flood-hit gram panchayats, pledging one lakh rupees each from his savings and another Rs 1 crore to Telangana's relief efforts.

The Telangana Chief Minister announced Rs 5 crore for flood-affected districts, and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, alongside local officials, assessed the situation in Khammam district. BJP leader Prakash Reddy assured comprehensive financial assistance from the Union Government to support flood relief.
