The chief minister clarified in an official release that the recent torrential rains and subsequent flooding had caused unprecedented damage to the lives and properties of the residents.

'Ensure that the Central government's aid will be such that it will rebuild the lives of the flood victims,' Naidu emphasized. He called on the union government to adopt a generous approach and not compare this disaster to previous calamities, highlighting that thousands of farmers were severely affected.
