Tragic Accident in Andhra Pradesh: Seven Dead as Truck Plunges into Canal

In a devastating incident, seven individuals lost their lives when a truck skidded into a canal in Andhra Pradesh's Devarapalli on Wednesday, officials confirmed. The accident occurred near Devarapalli village, involving a truck that was transporting eight people from Jangareddigudem.
Deputy Superintendent of Police G Deva Kumar reported that the truck plunged into the canal around midnight, resulting in the immediate death of seven passengers who were seated atop the vehicle. One survivor was pulled from the wreckage and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to Kovvur Government Hospital. Expressing his profound shock and sorrow, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu extended his condolences to the victims' families and instructed officials to ensure the best possible medical care for the injured. The Chief Minister also emphasized the need for stringent measures to prevent such accidents in the future.
