Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu visited flood-hit places in the state, interacting with affected people and urging them to stay strong.

He visited Ajit Singh Nagar in Vijayawada, the most affected area, thrice within 24 hours. Naidu personally distributed food packets from a boat during one of his visits.

Naidu also visited other affected areas such as Krishnalanka, Ibrahimpatnam, Ferry, Jupudi, and Mulapadu.

He assured the people that the government would provide food and water to every affected individual and promised to stay with them until their problems were addressed.

''Visited flood-affected areas in Vijayawada for the second day. I personally monitored the relief being extended to flood victims...,'' Naidu stated in a post on X. He stressed, ''Safety of the people is our responsibility. We are putting in all efforts to relieve them as soon as possible from this unexpected calamity.''

On Sunday, Naidu had called Union Home Minister Amit Shah to request additional boats and helicopters to support the relief and rescue operations, and also updated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the ground situation.

During a review meeting on Monday, the CM directed officials to prepare clothes for those arriving at rehabilitation centres and include fruits in food distributions. He also asked for power banks to be arranged, as many were without electricity.

Naidu reiterated his commitment to compensating those who suffered damage in the floods, highlighting that the primary objective now is to save lives.
