A Central government team arrived in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday to assess the flood damage caused by recent torrential downpours, which affected seven districts.

Local officials have compiled a preliminary report on the flood devastation and prepared a route map for the Central team's inspection tour.

According to an official release, local officials are briefing the Central team on the flood situation and the damage at the Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) office in Tadepalli.

The team is also meeting with officials from various departments to learn about the havoc wrought by the deluge, impacting districts including West Godavari, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Bapatla, and Palnadu.

The team was also informed about the devastation caused by the Budameru rivulet in Vijayawada, as well as the various relief efforts undertaken by the state government.
