On the second anniversary of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, remarked that the expedition showcased the innate loving nature of Indians. He stressed that their ongoing mission is to ensure the voice of love resonates across the nation.
Gandhi shared his reflections on social media, stating that the yatra taught him the power of silence amidst the noise, allowing him to deeply listen to individuals he encountered. The 145-day journey enabled him to hear diverse perspectives and wisdom from thousands of Indians, enriching his connection with 'Bharat Mata.'
Gandhi launched the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari on September 7, 2022, culminating on January 30, 2023, in Srinagar after covering over 4,000 kilometers. The march included 12 public meetings, numerous interactions, and garnered participation from various sectors of society, including celebrities, writers, military veterans, and opposition leaders.
