Mumbai Gears Up for Dahi Handi with Massive Police Deployment

Over 11,000 police personnel have been deployed across Mumbai as part of the security arrangements for the Dahi Handi festivities on Tuesday, an official revealed.

As one of the city's most celebrated festivals, Dahi Handi is expected to draw thousands to over 1,900 events, including 500 major gatherings, according to the official.

Senior police officers, including deputy commissioners and additional commissioners, along with constables and inspectors, will oversee and enforce security measures to ensure smooth conduct of the celebrations, he added.
