Security forces thwarted two infiltration attempts in Kupwara district, Jammu and Kashmir, on the evening of August 28, officials reported. One attempt was foiled in Tangdhar village, while another was disrupted in the Machil area.
"Two infiltration attempts were thwarted by security forces in Kupwara district last night, one in Tangdhar and the other in Machil area. Operations are ongoing in both locations, with more details awaited," official sources stated on August 29.
In addition, a search operation is underway in Rajouri district after an exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces on August 28. The operation began in the general area of Kheri Mohra Lathi and Danthal at 9:30 pm. "During the search operation, contact was established with terrorists at approximately 11:45 pm on August 28, resulting in an exchange of fire near Kheri Mohra area," Jammu and Kashmir police confirmed.
