Marking a decade since its release, 'Mardaani' has left an indelible mark on actor Tahir Raj Bhasin. Reflecting on his debut film, Bhasin found sharing the screen with Rani Mukerji profoundly inspiring. In 'Mardaani', Rani Mukerji shone as ACP Shivani Shivaji Roy, while Bhasin portrayed the chilling villain Karan Rastogi, known as Walt.

Chosen from a vast pool of hopefuls, Bhasin recently expressed immense gratitude for his breakthrough role. 'As 'Mardaani' celebrates ten years, I recall the unforgettable experience of working on this groundbreaking film,' he stated. Directed by the late Pradeep Sarkar, the film saw Bhasin shedding tears of joy upon being cast as the anti-hero after multiple auditions.

Bhasin cherished the overwhelming love 'Mardaani' received upon release, especially a commendatory tweet from Aamir Khan that took him over the moon. Describing his experience under Sarkar's direction, Bhasin noted the director's unique ability to blend precise guidance with space for authentic emotional exploration.

Speaking on collaborating with Rani Mukerji, Bhasin emphasized her magnetic professionalism and immense talent. 'Working with her was equally inspiring as she was the star I grew up watching,' he added.

Looking ahead, Bhasin is set to star in the second season of 'Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein' on Netflix, following the show's successful debut.
