Lighting Up Lives: Signify’s Transformation of Tawang District
Signify, a global leader in lighting, has illuminated 25 villages in Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang District with energy-efficient LED street lighting. Executed in partnership with the Indian Army and BharatCares, this initiative aims to enhance safety and quality of life for over 1,500 households, benefiting 7,500+ local citizens.

Signify, the global leader in lighting, has brought light to 25 villages in Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang District with energy-efficient LED street lighting. This venture, in collaboration with the Indian Army and grassroots NGO BharatCares, is part of Signify's 'Har Gaon Roshan' CSR initiative.
The project focuses on sustainable rural development and women's safety across India, positively impacting over 1,500 households. Key community sites, such as primary healthcare centers, places of worship, and other public areas, now enjoy enhanced lighting, improving overall safety for more than 7,500 residents.
Nikhil Gupta, Head of Marketing at Signify Greater India, lauded the partnership with the Indian Army, emphasizing the crucial role it plays in creating a secure environment. With 350 high-efficiency LED fixtures installed, this project aims to extend operational hours for local businesses and support educational activities, contributing to the area's development and prosperity.
