The Indian Army clarified Monday that the death of a soldier at the Sunjwan military station in Jammu and Kashmir was not due to a terrorist attack. The investigation into the incident has been initiated.

Army officials stated, "Initial investigations by the Indian Army suggest that the incident in which a soldier lost his life in the morning is not a terrorist attack. The cause of the death of the soldier is being investigated," confirmed Army officials.

Earlier reports indicated that the jawan sustained injuries during an alleged gunfight at the Sunjwan military station. The Army has now corrected this information, attributing it instead to another cause currently under investigation. (ANI)
