Bharatiya Janata Party President and Union Minister J P Nadda, along with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, is set to join the 'Tiranga Yatra' in Rajkot on August 10, as part of this year's Independence Day celebrations. This was confirmed by party functionaries on Thursday.

Organized by the local administration, the yatra will be a foot march attended by Nadda, according to Rajkot BJP president Mukesh Doshi. Rajkot Municipal Commissioner D P Desai inspected the two-kilometer route and issued necessary instructions to officials.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will be among the dignitaries in the march, starting from Race Course and concluding at Jubilee Garden. The yatra will feature cheer stations where youths will perform patriotic songs and traditional dances. Similar events will be organized in major cities across Gujarat from August 10, as announced by BJP vice president Gordhan Zadafia.
