Kenya's high court has temporarily halted plans to transfer the management of Nairobi's main airport to India's Adani Group, as reported by the Financial Times on Monday.

The court order stops a government proposal that aimed to grant Adani a 30-year lease to operate Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, which is the largest aviation hub in East Africa. Adani Group has not yet responded to a request for comment from Reuters.

Last month, the Kenya Aviation Workers Union announced plans for a strike over the proposed deal, expressing concerns that it would lead to job losses and the influx of non-Kenyan workers.
