Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday championed the new National Education Policy (NEP) as a vital force in propelling India towards developed nation status by 2047. The policy, crafted under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, was hailed as transformative during an event marking Teachers' Day, which honors the legacy of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
At the event, 28 exemplary school teachers were honored with the 'Best Teachers Award.' Patel emphasized the crucial role educators play in equipping students to shape their own futures in an increasingly developed India.
Patel also highlighted Dr. Radhakrishnan's lasting influence on education and underscored the ongoing necessity for teachers to stay abreast of technological advancements like Artificial Intelligence and Google. He reiterated PM Modi's mantra of 'Virasat Bhi, Vikas Bhi' (heritage and development) to keep the education sector dynamic.
