Eicher Motors has reported an 8% rise in its consolidated profit after tax, reaching Rs 1,100 crore for the September 2024 quarter, marking a strong performance in the auto industry. This growth is primarily attributed to robust sales across its multiple business segments.
According to a regulatory filing, the automaker achieved its best-ever second quarter in terms of revenue, generating Rs 4,263 crore compared to Rs 4,115 crore the previous year. Although Royal Enfield, a division of Eicher Motors, saw a slight decline in motorcycle sales, the company maintained a positive outlook.
Eicher Motors' focus on the electric motorcycle market and strengthening of its commercial vehicle segment significantly contributed to its success. Additionally, the company's expansion efforts in global markets, such as Brazil and Bangladesh, underscore its ambition for a diversified and resilient operations framework.
