The European golf tour is set to broaden its horizons, with Turkey and Austria back in the lineup for the 2025 season. This ambitious 42-event schedule, announced on Tuesday, will see tournaments hosted in at least 26 countries, boasting a record total prize fund of $153 million outside the majors.

The Turkish Open, absent since 2019, is scheduled at the Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort on May 8, while Austria's national Open, the Austrian Alpine Open, returns on May 29. The Nedbank Golf Challenge, formerly a pivotal event for the Race to Dubai, will reappear early in the season.

The season kicks off with the Australian PGA Championship in November, embarking on the "Opening Swing" through Australia, South Africa, and Mauritius, before transitioning to the "International Swing" in the Middle East. However, the European tour's future remains uncertain amid talks between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour.
