Shanghai Pharmaceuticals is making a strategic bid to strengthen ties with India's pharmaceutical sector, as Vice President Li Dongming extended an invitation for increased Indian investment in China.
Speaking on Tuesday, Li expressed hopes of co-developing products with Indian companies for global markets, highlighting past collaborations like the supply of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and mid-chemical products to India.
Despite previous geopolitical tensions and transport disruptions due to COVID-19, Li is optimistic about future cooperation, evidenced by ongoing partnerships such as those with Gland Pharma in Southeast Asia.
