Jammu, August 27: Skyview by Empyrean, a 22-acre luxury mountain destination in the Sanget-Patnitop region, has successfully wrapped up the second edition of the Sama-Vaya art retreat. The event gathered eight distinguished artists and craftspeople from different parts of India.

The retreat attracted prominent art lovers and collectors nationwide and abroad and over 80 art students from Jammu University's Institute of Music and Fine Arts. The exhibition showcased the individual and collaborative works of eight artists, including Lado Bai (Bhil art), Kritika Joshi (Phad painting), Saroj Shyam (Gond painting), Rachita Dutta, Rachna Badrakia, Neha Lavingia, Suman Gupta, and Sohan Singh Billawaria. Renowned film and theatre personalities such as Rajit Kapur, Shernaz Patel, Anahita Uberoi, and Sohrab Ardeshir also graced the event with their presence.

The artists spent four days at Skyview by Empyrean, creating masterpieces inspired by their surroundings. Their works, which offered unique interpretations of Jammu's environment, were displayed during an exhibition on August 25, 2024. Owais Altaf Syed, Director of Skyview by Empyrean, expressed pride in hosting the event, highlighting the rich and diverse perspectives brought by the artists.

Curator Anupa Mehta lauded the inspiring environment of Skyview by Empyrean and the collaborative spirit among the artists. The scenic property, known for its breathtaking views of the Pir Panjal range, is located just an hour from the famous Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Temple.
