Boulders from a hill crashed onto the Mumbra bypass road in Thane district on Saturday evening amid rain, causing significant disruption to vehicular traffic.

The incident, which occurred around 6:30 PM between Thane and Shil, resulted in no injuries, according to Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell (DMC) chief Yasin Tadvi.

Fire Brigade personnel and DMC staff swiftly cleared the debris using machinery, restoring traffic flow after a two-hour delay. As a safety precaution, the affected area has been cordoned off to prevent further incidents.
