Indore-Jabalpur Express Derails Near Jabalpur Station, No Injuries Reported

Two coaches of the Indore-Jabalpur Overnight Express derailed near Jabalpur Railway Station in Madhya Pradesh around 5:50 am on Saturday, an official reported. The train was en route from Indore to platform number six at Jabalpur Railway Station, with the incident occurring approximately 150 meters from the platform.

No casualties or injuries were reported following the derailment, confirmed Harshit Shrivastava, Chief Public Relations Officer of West Central Railway. He stated, 'The train was at dead-stop speed, and all passengers are safe. They have since left for home.'

The cause of the derailment is still under investigation. Details are awaited.

In a similar incident on August 17, 22 bogies of the Sabarmati Express derailed between Kanpur and Bhimsen station in Uttar Pradesh. The derailment was reportedly caused by an object on the track. No injuries were reported in that incident either.
