Early Saturday morning, two coaches of the Indore-Jabalpur Express derailed as the train neared Jabalpur station in Madhya Pradesh, railway officials stated. Fortunately, no passengers were injured in the 5:40 am incident.

Restoration efforts are in progress, and a multi-departmental inquiry committee has been formed to investigate the derailment. Officials revealed that the affected coaches were just behind the engine when they went off the tracks, around 50 meters from the platform.

Madhur Verma, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of WCR's Jabalpur Rail Division, reported that the train stopped swiftly to prevent further damage. Despite the derailment, the railway traffic remained largely unaffected, with platform six temporarily closed.
