Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Jitan Ram Manjhi has reaffirmed the government's commitment to encourage women entrepreneurs through the launch of the 'Yashaswini' campaign in Jaipur on Friday. Yashaswini, which translates to successful, proud, and talented women, aims to play a pivotal role in the nation's growth.
The Prime Minister's vision of making India a developed country by 2047 heavily relies on the promotion of micro, small, and medium industries, with women's participation deemed crucial. Manjhi also highlighted a significant recent government decision to offer loans up to Rs 25 lakh to women with up to 80 per cent disability, eliminating the need for any margin money.
Union Minister of State for MSME Shobha Karandlaje noted that the campaign will provide women with comprehensive training across various sectors, including agriculture and food processing. Additionally, women entrepreneurs will receive support in connecting with financial institutions to help establish their businesses.
