On Friday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) organized a protest near the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters on DDU Marg, opposing the arrest of party MLA Amanatullah Khan and other workers.

Protesters convened near the old AAP office on DDU Marg, but their march towards the BJP headquarters was thwarted by police, who had set up barricades to obstruct their path.

Among the demonstrators was Khan's wife, Mariam, who claimed that her husband had been ensnared in a "false" case. The protest also saw participation from AAP MLAs such as Dilip Pandey and Kuldeep Kumar.

Khan, representing Okhla, was detained earlier this week by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money-laundering investigation linked to recruitments in the Delhi Waqf Board during his chairmanship.
