Infosys announced on Thursday the expansion of its partnership with American chipmaker NVIDIA to create GenAI-powered solutions for telecom operators. The initiative has produced three innovative generative AI solutions utilizing Infosys' AI platform, Topaz, and NVIDIA's NIM inference microservices, NeMo Retriever embedding models, and NeMo Guardrails.

The AI solutions have also incorporated NVIDIA Riva to enable real-time transcription and translations for call center agents. According to a regulatory filing, these advancements aim to enhance productivity, make networks smarter, and improve customer service for telecoms.

Ronnie Vasishta, Senior Vice President of Telecom at NVIDIA, highlighted the benefits of using NVIDIA's accelerated computing and AI platform, noting that Infosys Topaz's domain-specific solutions could expedite and optimize the adoption of generative AI in telecom. The newly developed solutions have already shown up to a 61% reduction in latency and a 22% improvement in accuracy.
