Infosys CEO Salil Parekh has confirmed that the rise of Generative AI will not lead to layoffs within the company, emphasizing the technology's potential to drive business growth.

On the issue of the USD 3.9 billion GST tax demand, Parekh said there are no new updates, reiterating Infosys' transparency in market disclosures.

Speaking to PTI, Parekh noted the significant client interest in Generative AI, comparing its adoption trajectory to previous technologies like digital and cloud. He highlighted Infosys' robust initiatives, including over 225 Generative AI programs and extensive employee training.
