U.S. Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti celebrated the 248th U.S. National Day in Chennai, hailing the expanding partnership between the United States and India, particularly in space exploration and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

During the event hosted by the U.S. Consulate General in Chennai, Garcetti highlighted the strategic alliance between the two nations, emphasizing their collaborative ventures in space technology and education.

Notably, he praised South India's crucial contributions to these initiatives, especially the U.S.-India collaboration on the NISAR mission. Garcetti also mentioned the plan to send an Indian astronaut to the International Space Station aboard a U.S. rocket, underscoring the strong bond between the two countries.
