Jakson Engineers to Invest Rs 2,000 Crore in Major Solar Manufacturing Expansion

Jakson Engineers Ltd (JEL), an arm of the leading energy conglomerate Jakson Group, has announced plans to invest approximately Rs 2,000 crore in expanding its solar manufacturing business.
According to the company's statement on Wednesday, the investment will fund the creation of a new 2,500 MW solar cell manufacturing facility and an expansion of its existing solar module capacity to 2,000 MW. This development marks a significant milestone for Jakson, underscoring its commitment to renewable energy solutions.
"This expansion not only strengthens our market position but also highlights Jakson's growth and dedication to sustainability," said Sundeep Gupta, Vice Chairman & Managing Director. The investment aligns with India's vision of achieving net zero emissions by enhancing domestic solar manufacturing capabilities and reducing reliance on imports, aiming to create 1,200 new jobs.
