Thousands Pay Last Respects to CM Mohan Yadav's Father in Ujjain

Scores of people, including politicians, gathered at the Ujjain residence of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to pay tribute to his father, Poonamchand Yadav, who passed away due to prolonged illness. The last rites are scheduled near Bhukhi Mata temple today. Condolences poured in from numerous dignitaries.

Scores of people flocked to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's residence in Ujjain on Wednesday to pay tribute to his father, Poonamchand Yadav, who passed away on Tuesday due to prolonged illness. The Chief Minister was also present to receive the condolences.

The final rites will be conducted near the Bhukhi Mata temple by the banks of the Shipra river in Ujjain today. Various dignitaries, including Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and MP Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, expressed their grief through messages on X.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan wrote, "I reached Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's residence in Ujjain and paid tribute to his father Poonamchand Yadav. May God grant his soul a place in His lotus feet. Om Shanti!" Vijayvargiya also posted his tribute, praising the late Poonamchand Yadav's guidance and simplicity. BJP state president VD Sharma called the loss irreparable and expressed his deepest condolences to the Chief Minister and his family.
