Vijay Unveils Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam Flag and Symbol in Chennai
Vijay, the acclaimed actor-turned-politician, officially unveiled the flag and symbol of his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, in Chennai. Accompanied by his parents, Vijay committed to promoting equality and social justice. The event was marked by a pledge emphasizing equal rights and opportunities for all.

Vijay, the celebrated actor who has transitioned into politics, revealed the flag and symbol of his newly founded party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), at the party headquarters in Chennai on Thursday. The event saw the presence of Vijay's parents, who joined the celebrations at the party office.
Prior to the unveiling, Vijay took an oath pledging to uphold principles of equality for all living beings. "We will always appreciate the fighters who fought and sacrificed their lives for the liberation of our country and countless soldiers who tirelessly fought for the rights of our people from Tamil soil. I am committed to erasing differences based on caste, religion, gender, and place of birth. I will strive to create awareness and advocate for equal opportunities and rights for every individual. I solemnly affirm my commitment to these ideals," Vijay stated during the pledge.
In a prior press statement released in Tamil on Wednesday, Vijay expressed his views, stating, "It is a great blessing if every day brings new direction and force in history. August 22, 2024, is such a blessed day. This is when the flag, the primary symbol of our Tamil Nadu Victory Club, will be introduced." He emphasized that the flag would symbolize the party's commitment to the welfare of Tamil Nadu. "Tomorrow, we will hoist our heroic and victorious flag at our headquarters secretariat and release the association's flag song. I am pleased to announce that we are hoisting the club flag," Vijay added in the release.
Vijay officially entered politics and announced the formation of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam in February this year.
