The India U-17 men's national football team, under the supervision of head coach Ishfaq Ahmed, has unveiled its squad for the upcoming AFC U17 Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers. The competition is set to take place in Thailand from October 23 to 27.
Placed in Group D, India will compete against Brunei Darussalam on October 23, Turkmenistan on October 25, and the host nation, Thailand, on October 27. The qualification phase consists of 10 groups, with the group winners and the five best second-placed teams advancing to join hosts Saudi Arabia for the main tournament scheduled for next year.
The squad features a balanced lineup with Aheibam Suraj Singh, Rohit, and Nandan Roy as goalkeepers. Defenders include Karish Soram, Mohamed Kaif, and more, while the midfielders are led by Abdul Salha Sheergojri. The forwards' line-up is spearheaded by Bharat Lairenjam and his peers, underlining the team's readiness for the competition.
