In a politically charged atmosphere, RJD president Lalu Prasad recently hinted at rekindling alliances with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, claiming he kept his "doors open." This statement, however, met with varied responses from political entities in Bihar.
While Prasad's son, Tejashwi Yadav, downplayed the comment, the Congress, an ally of RJD, expressed its willingness to align with JD(U) if Kumar distanced himself from the BJP, which they referred to as "Godsewadi." Meanwhile, JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar responded non-committally, merely asking, "What are you saying," when probed by media outlets.
The political scene continues to be volatile with Union Home Minister Amit Shah's ambiguous stance on Kumar being projected as NDA's face for upcoming elections, prompting speculation among political pundits. Despite the speculation, JD(U) and BJP remain publicly united.
