Bangladesh's fast bowler Taskin Ahmed had high praise for the Indian cricket team after Bangladesh's significant loss in the second T20I match held in Delhi on Wednesday. The Indian squad took the series lead with an 86-run victory.

Taskin highlighted India's impressive batting performance, noting, "India batted really well. They do that not only in Indian conditions but all the conditions. They batted well till the end." He particularly commended the adaptability and consistent success of the Indian team across various environments. In addition, Taskin touched upon the eventual retirement of Shakib Al Hasan, acknowledging his importance to the Bangladesh team.

Reflecting on what didn't go well for Bangladesh, Taskin candidly admitted, "The wicket was good for batting but we did not bat well to our potential." Despite favorable conditions, Bangladesh's team performance fell short, unable to seize the opportunities presented by the pitch. He reiterated his commitment to following his game strategy, stating, "I just tried to execute my plan. I was more clear than the first game."

The match saw Bangladesh winning the toss and opting to bowl first at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Early challenges for India, as they were 41/3, were overcome by a crucial partnership between Nitish and Rinku Singh that added 108 runs. Contributions from Hardik Pandya helped steer India to a final tally of 221/9. Taskin Ahmed and Rishad Hossain emerged as Bangladesh's leading bowlers.

In return, Bangladesh's innings floundered despite early momentum in the chase of 222 runs. Only Mahmadullah could offer some resistance with his 41-run knock, as the team staggered to 135 all-out. Varun Chakravarthy and Nitish were among India's top bowlers in containing Bangladesh. India's triumph marked a 2-0 lead in the three-match series, with Nitish receiving the 'Player of the Match' accolade for his stellar all-round show.
