Cameroon's government has dismissed rumors concerning the health of President Paul Biya, aged 91, following a noticeable absence from public events. Officials assured that he is on a trip to Europe and remains in good health.

President Biya, Africa's second-longest-serving leader, was last publicly seen at a China-Africa summit in Beijing over a month ago. His failure to attend significant events like the UN General Assembly fueled speculation about his well-being.

Despite concerns, the Communications Minister asserted that reports of Biya's failing health are 'fantasy.' Biya continues to face political challenges, including separatist movements and Islamic extremist threats in Cameroon.
