Thrilling Feats Mark Day 2 of Hockey India Senior Men Inter-Department National Championship

The Petroleum Sports Promotion Board, Central Secretariat, Railway Sports Promotion Board, and Steel Plant Sports Board triumphed on Day 2 of the Hockey India Senior Men Inter-Department National Championship. SAI Shakti dominated across all categories in the Junior Men & Women Inter-Zone Championships with impressive wins.

The Petroleum Sports Promotion Board, Central Secretariat, Railway Sports Promotion Board, and Steel Plant Sports Board secured significant victories on the second day of the Hockey India Senior Men Inter-Department National Championship on Friday.

In Pool A, PSPB narrowly defeated the Sports Authority of India with a score of 4-3, while Central Secretariat edged past Central Board of Direct Taxes 3-2. Meanwhile, in Pool B, Railways overwhelmed Canara Bank 14-0, thanks to hat-tricks from Pardeep Singh and Gursahibjit Singh. Steel Plant similarly dominated Sports Authority of Gujarat-Hockey Academy with a 12-3 victory.

Furthermore, SAI Shakti displayed formidable performances at the Junior Men & Women Inter-Zone Championships. In the men's semi-finals held in Lucknow, SAI Shakti defeated SAI Bal 3-0, while North Zone triumphed over East Zone 4-1. The women's semi-finals in Ranchi saw SAI Shakti overpower West Zone 4-0, and East Zone prevailed against SAI Bal in a shootout after a 2-2 tie.
